Deborah Dunham, Double Bass

Deborah Dunham currently a principal player with Boston Baroque, Ars Lyrica Houston, Mercury Houston and also performs regularly with Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet Orchestras. In addition, she serves on the faculty Sam Houston State University

From 1987 to 1997, she was a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and worked regularly with the Boston Symphony from 1996 to 2001.

Her participation in Grammy nominated recordings with Ars Lyrica Houston, Boston Baroque and Eastman Chamber Players can be found on Telrac and Naxos Records. Past collaborations with otheer artists such as Andy Nerall and John Duykers and composers Bernard Rands and John Harbison can be found on Bridge, Mode, Naxos, New Albion and New World Records.

Deborah also serves as President of Houston Early Music, is a co-founder and Past President of Houston’s St Cecilia Chamber Music Society, is a founding member and Past President of Houston Chapter of the Viola de Gamba Society of America: Viols of Houston and, from 1995 to 2000, was Artist Director of the Society for Chamber Music in Rochester.
